After 16 years of rescuing animals, we are facing the most important moment in The Barnyard Sanctuary's history.

The 170-acre farm that is home to nearly 300 rescued animals has been listed for sale. For the first time, we have the opportunity to secure permanent ownership of the land that our animals, supporters, volunteers, and community have spent years building together.

While our lease remains in place through March 2029, time is not on our side.

If we cannot secure this property, we could once again find ourselves searching for a new home and facing the unimaginable challenge of relocating nearly 300 rescued animals. Moving a sanctuary of this size would be enormously expensive, incredibly stressful for the animals, and could threaten everything we have worked to build over the past 16 years.

We have already invested more than $300,000 into fencing, water systems, electrical infrastructure, shelters, and improvements across the property. More importantly, we have transformed this land into a refuge for animals, wildlife, pollinators, education, and community connection. Losing this farm would mean risking not only our investment, but the future of the sanctuary itself.

The owner has given us the first opportunity to purchase the property, but we must demonstrate our ability to move forward quickly.

Our Immediate Goal: $1.5 Million

Our most urgent priority is raising $1.5 million immediately so that we can secure our position and move forward with ownership discussions.
